Dalyan, Ortaca
Dalyan is a place connected to the district of Ortaca of Mugla Province.
Köyceğiz Lake dalyan (in Turkey, called Dalyan for short) is located on this site.
Dalyan is located on the main channel that connects Köyceğiz Lake and the Mediterranean. The Iztuzu beach, which is the place where the Dalyan channel reaches to the sea, is one of the beaches where the sea turtles, Caretta Caretta, leave their eggs. The ancient city of Kaunos is also in Dalyan. There are about 8,000 inhabitants. Despite being close to many famous tourist centers, it is relatively less developed in terms of tourism. The reason for this is that Dalyan is located 12 km from the main road. As it can be understood from the name, in the past Dalyan's important income was fishing and pamukçuluk was in second place. Today, the most important economic activity is tourism. Dalyan has more than 100 accommodation, over 20 restaurants, many travel agencies and shopping places. The blue picker is famous.

Because the climate of Dalyan is as mild as it is in many Mediterranean cities, the resort can be visited in spring, summer and winter. Nevertheless, it is the best season for spending a touristic visit to Dalyan from June to July, the spawning season of the Caretta Caretta. These months are more fun in terms of tourism due to the revival in the population of the city.
