Antalya is a province of Turkey and the fifth most populous city. As of the end of 2016, the population of the province is 2,328,555. The area of the province is 20.177 m2. There are 115 people per km2. (The district with the largest density is Muratpaşa with 5067 people.) 19 Districts and municipalities have a total of 910 neighborhoods in these municipalities.
It is located in the west of the Mediterranean Region and is located between the Western Taurus Mountains and the Gulf of Antalya. The area covered by the province of Antalya has hosted many civilizations from the beginning of history to the present day and is the most antique city in Turkey. Antalya, dominated by the Lycian, Lydians, Pamphylians, Bergamans, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks, Ottomans and finally the Republic of Turkey, has never made any of these civilizations a capital.
All of the province is located in the Antalya Division of the Mediterranean Region and is the area of influence of the Mediterranean climate. Most of the provincial lands except settlements are made up of platelets covered with grain fields.
The 3rd Infantry Training Brigade Commander of Turkish Armed Forces Land Forces Command and Air Command Commander of Air Force Command are in Antalya.
Antalya is the host of the 2015 G-20 Summit and Expo 2016.

Within the province, transportation is provided by road, sea and air. In addition, the public transport system in Antalya meets the transportation needs of the urban population. Besides, it is the sixth province of Turkey with 11,5 cars per 100 people in the number of motor vehicles per population.
Located at the east of the city center, Antalya Airport is the most important point that provides access to and from the airport. It is possible to fly to almost every province of Turkey from Antalya Airport as well as to various cities of Europe and Middle East. There is no military airport in Antalya.
